South Mountain - November 7th, 2009

The Mountain and District Lions Club did it again.  They put together a great evening that was enjoyed by all that attended.  The meal was delicious; from the appetizers awaiting us on the table upon our arrival to the main course - right down to the home made pies.  ( I know that certain individuals at the C.C.C. table indulged in more than one dessert! )  Bob Weagant did his usual "trivia challenge" to determine the order that tables would head up for food.  We proved without doubt that members present knew diddly squat about Olympic games history.  After dinner, while belts creaked and groaned under the extra food packed in by everyone - Loraine got creative and helped entertain all by launching the "Veggie Express".

Both entertainers were astounding piano players, backed by their "Band in a Box", as they called it.  They could sing too!  Their performances had feet tapping everywhere as well as intoxicated sing-alongers joining in.  Some were heard to say that this "Elton" was as good as, if not better, than the real Elton.

It was a good evening and those present were glad they went.
