Tackaberry Road Trip
Tackaberry Road Tour, July 5th, 2009

Our visit to the Tackaberry's Private Collection was awe inspiring.

From transport trucks, motorcycles, snowmobiles, fire-trucks, rescue vehicles and the never ending variety of tractors, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

One garage featured a collection of Cadillac cars and memorabilia in addition to a lone Corvette. We toured 5 or 6 buildings at their Head Office, in addition to the outside collectibles and then another 3 buildings at their residence.

The garages were well packed but still very accessible. There were props added to a number or the displays to make the journey that much more interesting.  Props included a fire fighter and his dog in a fire-truck, gangsters, prime minister and president to a cow in the back of a truck. It is the most Historic License Plates that I have seen in one place let alone all belonging to one family. Charlie Tackaberry indicated that all of the vehicles are in running condition and licensed each year. Man I hate paying the $74 per year can you imagine doing that for hundreds of vehicles.

NOTE:  Many thanks to Sue Baggs for her hard work in putting together the photographs for this page along with the above write up !!  Thanks also to Kim Cruikshank and Michael Pastor - your contributions are appreciated!!
