On an overcast Saturday morning,
we gathered at Ron's place for the long awaited beer tour. We
headed off through the countryside in eager anticipation of our
visit to the Beau's Brewery in VanKleek Hill. Spirits were
dampened slightly when Ron lead us onto an aggravating aggregate
road which caused some panic, distress and definitely slower speeds
amongst the participating members. After several kilometers of
anxious chatter on the walkie talkies, we returned to paved surfaces
and everyone's blood pressure resettled.
We had a great tour and lunch at
the brewery and some folks purchased bottles of liquid
souvenirs. Ron only made one wrong turn on our way to the St.
Albert's Cheese Factory for some treats and then afterwards we made
our way back to our humble abodes to wash our cars and arrange for
paint chip repairs. Thanks to our
Vice President - "Mr. Chips" - for a day we will remember for a long
time. |
