Year End Party, November 19th

We held our Year End / Christmas Party at the Ottawa Airport Hilton Garden Inn this year.  Everyone seemed to have favorable impressions of the hotel.  The facility was tastefully decorated, the table centrepieces were beautiful creations, the food was great, we had a superb DJ and everyone was in the "kicking up our heels" mood.  Members brought their donations for Toy Mountain and everyone went home with door prizes or gifts in recognition of group and individual contributions made to the club over the past year.  Breaking from tradition, club elections were held at the beginning of the evening and once club business was taken care of we got down to celebrating the end of another year of Corvetting in the Capital.  Scott Ferris was MC for the evening and did a great job of keeping the events running smoothly.

The Hilton offered a luxury we didn't have in the past few years - a room to stay in on site.  Some happy party goers got a room for the night and started celebrating before the official party began and continued after the rest of the revellers had left for home.  In all there was a merry time had by all and thanks are extended to the organizers of the event along with the fine folks at the Hilton that did a fine job taking care of us.
