Road Tour, Winchester Dairyfest & BBQ, August 6th
A total of eight Corvettes and their owners/co-pilots met at the garbage rimmed commuter parking lot at 416 and Brophy Road on a steamy Saturday afternoon on August 6th. We then meanderd along to the fair metropolis of Winchester where the annual Dairyfest was being held. Donations were made to the local food bank through the efforts of the Highway 43 Car Club for admission to the car show being held. Bill and Laura Forrester and Paul Renaud were already at the show waiting for us and we parked in a row and settled in for an hour or two, bought some tickets for draws, watched Kim tolerate Ron and had a good time.
We then headed to Paul and Michelle's nearby place and sat, chatted, drank, ate, drank, ate more and drank more. Paul and Michelle were great hosts - they even arranged for some fly pasts by a small plane that had a parachutist jumping out! Thanks very much to our gracious hosts, but be warned guys - we will be back!
