Merrickville Cruise & Shop, July 10th

We lucked out this year!  Parks Canada actually contacted our club and asked us if we would like a parking spot along the edge of the Rideau Canal in beautiful Merrickville.  Of course we said YES!  

We all met in Ottawa and twenty Vettes cruised a scenic route to Merrickville and got situated nicely along the canal and settled in just in time for lunch.  We were literally steps away from the hussle and bussle of downtown Merrickville with the crowds and excitement of the show.  We sat in the shade with a cool breeze and the water lapping up against the shore as boats passed in the canal. Occassionally we would go for an ice cream or to stroll around the cars on display and then came back to relax.

It was a great time and a wonderful show.  We can hardly wait until next year.  Thanks to Dave Jeggo for providing many of the photos you see here.
