GM Motorama Show & Shine - Myers Kanata, May 15th
We tip our hats to the members of the Highway 43 Car Club for their efforts in putting together a show in order to raise food for the Kanata Food Cupboard. The 200 plus members of this Kemptville based club are an extraordinary bunch of car enthusiasts and have earned a great deal of respect from members of our club with their continuing efforts to do good for our community and in fact for our club. As most will recall, it was the Highway 43 Car Club that came to our 35th Anniversary celebrations last year and pitched in a helping hand in the parking lot at Rideau Carleton.
The weather was less than pleasant at the beginning of the day scheduled for this show. There was a steady rain and a cool breeze blowing. It wasn't the kind of weather that encouraged owners to bring their treasured babies out for a show. We had a good turn out from our club and as the day progressed, the weather improved.... somewhat. At least the rain stopped! There was plenty of food available and door prizes? Members of our club did very well. Again - thanks to the Highway 43 Car Club for their generosity and a great day. We all enjoyed the opportunity to chat and socialize amongst our cars.
Thanks to Wendy for some iPhone pictures!
