The Facebook Group that was created a couple of years ago has been archived by Facebook due to lack of use.  So - boredom and a sense of adventure has lead to your webmaster creating another one.  The new Group Page on Facebook is slightly different than the old style.

I have set up the group with the following privacy settings - "Anyone can see our group on Facebook and can see who belongs to it. Only members of the group can see posts". This means that unless you are a member of our Facebook group you will not see photos or posts - just a list of members will appear and that's it. The administrator of our group, has to approve membership in it, so I will only approve club members becoming members of the Facebook group - so it gives us some privacy on an easy to use format.

An email feature has also been set up that you can see at the top of the Group Page.  It will automatically send an email to all group members.

You do have to have a Facebook user account to access the group.  If you have been reluctant to sign up because of security concerns, you can almost customize your settings now to the extent that no one can see you and you won't even recognize yourself!

We can use the Facebook Group as a means to keep in touch with each other, we can even post upcoming events there.

If you know someone who is a member of the club and not listed in the Facebook group members - please feel free to add them.
