So, with that in mind we are suggesting something new this year. We have picked a resort to go to, so we can relax and party.  And, hey - if you can fit your Corvette in your carry-on, then take it along and we can do some road tours while we are there. 

This is all planned to be what a vacation should be - non-committal, relaxing, fun and reinvigorating. The goal is to get friends at the same resort so we can hang together or not. Lay on the beach together or not, drink mohitos together or not. Whatever makes you happy is good, the thing is - if we all want to be together for some partying in a Carribean resort then the opportunity is there.  

So where are we going you ask?

The 5 star Iberostar Laguna Azur has been picked as our location.  It is located near Varadero on the east end of peninsula and is ranked 8 out of 58 hotels reviewed by guests on Tripadvsior .  The "Official Week" that has been chosen as the week to be there is any time between the dates of February 24th and March 4th. Come for the entire time or come for just a few days - whatever you like.

Located on a beautiful stretch of Varadero's Beach, approximately 160 km from Havana and 20 minutes from downtown Varadero.  814 rooms allocated in different buildings.  24 suites and 8 for handicapped.  Reception is open 24 hours, currency exchange, 24 hours internet, buffet restaurant with show cooking and four a la carte restaurants and there is a snack bar near the beach.  There are also a lobby bar, cigar bar, pool bar, and 2 snack bars at the 6 outdoor pools.  Conference rooms, spa, gym, and beauty salon, 2 tennis and paddle courts, ice cream saloons, nightclub and entertainment each evening.  (Description from hotel)
